Advanced Program for Marketing Professionals – IIM Calcutta


Program Context
Every organization operates in a dynamic marketplace. Competition, consumers, technology and market forces are constantly redefining the work environment. Newer and unexpected challenges are cropping up. The only way companies can stay competitive is by continuously adjusting and adapting their customer approach to meet the changing scenario. Amongst all this, the responsibilities of sales and marketing people have increased manifold.

Program Objective

PEDAGOGY
Each module will be taught with the help of case studies, corporate examples and general discussions. In order to provide greater industry insights, business leaders from the different industries may be invited to share their experiences.
CERTIFICATION
Participants with Poor grades in not more than two modules will receive a ‘Certificate of Completion’ in Advanced Program for Marketing Professionals. Participants with more than 2 poor grades will receive a ‘Certificate of Participation’. Certificates shall be issued directly by IIM Calcutta.

PROGRAM DESIGN AND DURATION
Duration: One Year
• Frequency: Once a week
• Class Schedule: Sunday, 6:30pm to 9:30pm

• Delivery: Through classes at Centre for Advanced Learning in your city, using Synchronous Learning Technology Platform
• In addition, there will be a mandatory 3-day campus module at IIM Calcutta at the start of the program.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
• Applicants should be working professionals/self-employed (Need to submit supporting proof)
• Graduates (10+2+3/10+2+4/10+2+2/11+1+3) from a recognized university ( UGC/AICTE/DEC/AIU) in any discipline with min. 50% marks (aggregate- considering results of all years)
• Candidates with minimum three years Diploma after class 12th from recognized institutions like AICTE etc/state govt. bodies are also eligible for the program.
• Candidates with less than 50% marks in graduation but having more than 50% marks in Post Graduation (from a recognized university) are also eligible for the program.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience post completion of graduation is required as on December 01, 2011

Eligible applicants will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Program Aptitude Test (PAT) to be conducted , together with the assessment of background and motivation (Statement of Purpose-Annexure I of the Application Form) based on the application form submitted.
Selected applicants need to resubmit the latest proof of current employment at the time of Registration.

FEES AND PROGRAM SCHEDULE
Program Fee: Rs.1,59,935/-
• The fee above is inclusive of all academic charges, examinations, textbooks, study material.
• All fees are non-refundable. Fees can be paid by cash, or cheque/demand draft

• A deferred payment facility exists with the following schedule:
– With Application#: Rs.9,927/-
– On Registration (March 2012) Rs.54,047/-
– Instalment 1 (May 2012): Rs.31,987/
– Instalment 2 (July 2012) Rs.31,987/
– Instalment 3 (Sep 2012) Rs.31,987/-
(Students to submit the PDCs towards future instalments as per the due dates at the time of registration)
• A mandatory Campus Module fee is to be paid vide DD drawn in favour of IIM Calcutta, before the campus visit. This amount includes boarding and lodging. Travel arrangements (including the travel expenses) for the campus visit have to be made by the students themselves.
– The Campus module fee to be paid vide DD drawn in favour of “Indian Institute of Management Calcutta” payable at Kolkata
– Campus module fee : Rs.15,000/- (Rs.5,000/- per day)

Note: Campus module fee to be confirmed during Orientation Class
#Initial payment will be refunded completely if the applicant is not selected for the program by the institute. This does not include the application amount of Rs.1000/-.
Initial payment will not be refunded in case of any/all of the following conditions:
a) The application is found to be incomplete or inaccurate at any stage of scrutiny (Appearing in PAT does not confirm application acceptance/clearance of scrutiny)
b) The applicant is offered a seat for the program and does not join before the date mentioned in the offer letter.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that the application is complete in all respects.
The selection offer letter is for a specific batch of a program. Neither the offer for admission nor the initial amount is transferable to any other program or batch.

Early Bird Offer:
An Early Bird Offer** of Rs.10,000/- off on the overall program fee exists for those who meet all of the following conditions:
a) Fully complete and valid applications
b) Appear in PAT
c) Complete registration formalities on/before the last date mentioned in the offer letter.
